Some trees in the wintertime: bare branches silhouetted against colourful (or grey) skies, frost on pine needles.
A selection of my photos of insects, birds and other fauna.
As I wrote in an earlier post, I really like photographing trees. In 2014, I turned this into a project about photographing tree tops (“Boomkruinen” in Dutch).
Another one of those wonders of nature with endless variety: mushrooms.
At this time of year, the flowers turn into seeds and in 2014 this gave me the inspiration for a second photo project. I went around my home town (and the countryside around it) to photograph seeds and seed heads wherever they caught my eye.
I photograph flowers constantly: in our own garden, in gardens we visit, in the wild, on the side of the road, on holiday. The endless variety, the colours, the details and the life cycle of flowers keep inspiring me.
