In October 2012 we went on a trip to the Renvyle Peninsula and Connemara region on the Atlantic coast of Ireland to get away from it all for a bit. Connemara is a stunningly beautiful area, especially in autumn, and this trip has given us many beautiful memories.
Another one of those wonders of nature with endless variety: mushrooms.
At this time of year, the flowers turn into seeds and in 2014 this gave me the inspiration for a second photo project. I went around my home town (and the countryside around it) to photograph seeds and seed heads wherever they caught my eye.
In 2004 I was in Rome for work (a conference). This was in the early years of digital photography and what I had was a Canon Powershot A75, which was OK at the time, but not really up to modern standards perhaps. I still hold a couple of those photographs dear, though, and a filter in VSCOCam has helped to improve the colours and contrast.
